Customers generally fall in to two camps with this one – the “what’s sarsaparilla?” and the “I remember buying sarsaparilla pop at the market” but after a taste the majority end up in the same camp which involves them going home with a bottle!
From the Distiller
A blend of fresh strawberries mixed with London Gin and Mawson’s Sarsaparilla give this gin liqueur a taste bud overload. With the fruity sweetness from the strawberries coupled with the unique flavour of sarsaparilla with is slight note of aniseed as well as sweetness from the liquorice root.
Sweet enough to enjoy on its own over ice, mix with prosecco or top up with a light tonic water.
With a passion for quality food and drink, Geoff Monkman started his own business in 2006 with a range of ‘friendly foods’ chutneys and jams. His portfolio has since grown to include other Lakeland fayre including soft drinks and hampers. In 2017 Geoff created a damson syrup for his wedding guests to enjoy in their prosecco toasts – this proved so popular, guests demanded it became available to purchase. Since then, a range of prosecco syrups and spirit based liqueurs have been available under the Lakeland Artisan umbrella.
