In a fusion of adventure and flavour, The Tasting Room, Keswick recently played host to Keswick Adventures’ end-of-season get-together. Known for offering heart-pounding outdoor activities in the picturesque Lake District, Keswick Adventures brought their talented and dynamic team to indulge in a tasting experience as part of a fun filled day out as a reward for their hard work throughout the season.
The stage was set with an arrival drink, Bakewell Gin Liqueur with a cream soda mixer, think Bakewell tart and vanilla ice cream—a concoction as daring as the outdoor pursuits Keswick Adventures is renowned for. As the guests settled into their seats, the tasting session unfolded, offering three neat tastings.
First on the palate was the Cranberry and Clementine Gin, a distinctive blend distilled on a molasses base—a departure from the typical neutral grain spirit used in most gins. The journey continued with the Bakewell Gin Liqueur, paving the way for final tasting —the Solway Spiced Rum, our best-selling rum.
Post-neat tastings, guests were handed the reins to choose their perfect serve. This interactive twist, allowing guests to personalise their experience, resonated well, resulting in an equal distribution of choices among all three spirits. The Cranberry and Clementine Gin found its match in Spanish Clementine Tonic, the Bakewell Gin Liqueur danced with Cloudy Lemonade, while the Solway Spiced Rum found harmony with Ginger Ale.
With glasses raised, the guests embraced the opportunity to unwind, socialise, and savour the moment. The bar continued to cater to diverse preferences, with the Passionfruit Martinis emerging as the crowd favourite. The success of the evening was not just in the
